MARİNE SHAFT SEAL SYSTEMS
Those systems provide a good seal using a friction disk and friction ring rubbing to eache other. They are generally used in place of a packing (glen) system on the shafts. In the packing installtion problem is eliminated. with the bellows seal system, the friction force is very small and a good seal is assured, hence the vessel will remain dry at all times. The bellows and rubber body of the system are made of oil chemical-resistant rubber.
NOTE: In case of any failure, the bellows section on the shaft may be tightened with a clamp and left to the dripping position of the water, thus allowing to use the system without the bellows. the bellows pressure force can be adjusted with the billows adjustment ring and tightened just enough to prevent leaking (3-8 mm.) Sending water entry and venting orifice is better because the system does not remain dry and the ingress of sand and dirt in to bearings at the external glen side is prevented. The water pressure used is from max. 0,2 to 0,4 bar. or 3-6 psi is. Should not more pressure if the extreme pressure of the bellows to inflate the bellows connects the record did not want to fork water for him. Water is supplied from somewhere on the other hand is connected to discharge into the sea .
