SCUPPER PLUGS - PATCH CAP TIRES

 SCUPPER PLUG

The holes situated around the decks and tanks have to be closed in the tankers carrying chemicals during the filling operations. Therefore, this can be achieved easily with a system manufactured by us. The internl diameter of the pipe (A) flexes and gets larger by 5 to 50 mm due to the flexibility of the rubber. Thus, the rubber adapts its shape to the oval of irregular shapes caused by welding and ensures a good seal.

NOTE : Scupper rubber is resistant to oil, diesel and chemicals. The tightening mechanical systems are made of chrome and bronze and are resistant to sea water. In case the syphilis tire is deformed or damaged over time, you can only obtain the scupper rubber from our company in terms of economy.

PATCH CAP TIRES

Patch hat rubber ; It is a wound closure material made of specially prepared hardness (shore A) rubber, against minor hull damages that may occur on ships and in order to ensure watertightness, and the skirt parts are reinforced.

Usage places ; The patch cap can be used as a wound closure material used to close the holes that may occur on the sides of the ships in emergency situations or to prevent the water from passing from one side to the other in the concrete holes.

NOTE : Before closing the ship's side or other wounds, the rope should be adjusted and cut as far as the tying distance from the hole in the handle to the nearest place.

Since there is water inflow from the outside to the inside of the ships, the patch cap rubber is folded and thrown out of the hole and left, the rope at the patch cap rubber handle is tied by stretching it from the nearest suitable place inside, so that the patch cap rubber closes the wound and the force coming from the outside pressures the tire, the hole closes the hole well under pressure and makes a sealing operation so that the water intake process is stopped.

Pressure max. It is 1-2 Bar, we can make special production for greater pressure of kg/cm² or in different diameters.

In the table below, the usage code is given according to the desired diameter.
